Eligibility Criteria

  • Born in and/or currently living in Africa
  • 35 years of age or younger
  • Possess a relevant degree (Bachelor’s minimum; MSc/PhD preferred)
  • Experience in genomics, diagnostics, biotechnology, or vaccine development
  • Demonstrate leadership potential and commitment to Africa’s scientific growth
  • Fluent in English or French (proficiency in both languages is an advantage)

Levels of Study

The fellowship supports two distinct training pathways:

  • Advanced and Translational Training (ATT) Fellowship: Designed for those seeking intensive skills development
  • Young Professional Programme (YPP) Fellowship: Targets early-career professionals looking to advance their research and leadership capabilities

The ATT Fellowship (4 months) focuses on:
