Submission Guidelines

To ensure that all content on Apply Online is valuable, accurate, and trustworthy, we ask that all contributors adhere to the following guidelines:

  1. All submissions must be 100% original work and not published elsewhere. Content from other websites is permitted provided it’s well paraphrased for the Zimbabwean audience. Avoid merely copying and pasting.
  2. Content must be of high quality and written in a clear, concise, and engaging language. Use headings, subheadings, bullet points, and short paragraphs to make your content easy to read.
  3. Before you submit a scholarship, make sure that that exact scholarship has not been already submitted on Apply Online by another author. A scholarship can only be submitted once and updated with each new call.
  4. Ensure all scholarship details, including deadlines, eligibility criteria, stipends, etc. are accurate and current. Double-check links to scholarship applications or official websites to ensure they are working and relevant.
  5. Focus on scholarships that are open to Zimbabwean citizens. For scholarships that are applicable to more than one country, always cross-check that Zimbabwe is listed as an eligible country.
  6. Avoid publishing scholarships that are outdated or no longer accepting applications. If a scholarship runs in cycles, always wait until the next cycle is open before submitting.
  7. Do not promote scholarships that are misleading, require payment, or seem fraudulent.
  8. Always include the direct link to the application. Use a button clearly marked “Apply Here”.
  9. Do not promote blogs, recruitment agencies, and other listing websites in your submissions. External links should only point to the official scholarship’s domains or related subdomains and pages.
  10. Apply Online is focused on scholarships and fellowships for now. Jobs, internships, apprenticeships, etc. are not yet allowed.

PLEASE NOTE: Our moderators will assist with updating submissions that do not meet the above guidelines. However, submissions that intentionally violate guidelines (7) and (9) will be removed immediately. In some cases, the author(s) responsible for the violations may face dismissal.

How to Become a Contributor

  1. Click the “Sign Up” button below.
  2. Complete the standard WordPress signup form.
  3. Verify your email address by clicking the link in the confirmation email.
  4. Once verified, your account will be set as a Subscriber.
  5. Our admin team will then begin reviewing your application. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and if you feel your application has taken too long, kindly reach out to us.
  6. If approved, you’ll receive an email confirming your role as a Contributing Author, together with instructions on how to get started. You may also expect an on-boarding call from one of us to familiarize you with the system.
